Sudden crave for chocolate cake last night while watching TLC
Digged out the ingredients immediately
Waited 20 minutes for this handsome Mr. Brownie
[Recipe] Easy Chocolate Brownie
Ingredients:
50gm Chopped nuts ( Hazenut/Walnut/Pecan)
75gm Cake Flour
4 gm Baking Powder
120gm Chopped Bitter Sweet Chocolate
90gm Unsalted Butter
90gm Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
20gm Brandy
30gm Milk
Methods:
- Cut the nuts roughly.
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees celcius and adjust the oven rack to middle position.
- Grease and flour the 5 by 5- inch cake pan.
- Sift the flour and baking powder.
- Place the chopped chocolate and butter into a heat proof bowl and microwave for 1 and half mins until melted.
- Add in brown sugar in 2 batches and mix well using egg beater.
- Beat the egg slightly in another bowl and add it into the chocolate butter sugar mixture. Mix well.
- Add in the flour+baking powder, mix well using egg beater. ( Do not overbeat)
- Add in brandy and milk, mix well using egg beater.
- Lastly, fold in chopped nuts using rubber spatula.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared cake pan.
- Bake untill a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the center comes out clean, about 15 to 25 minutes.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes and remove the cake from the pan , cool on the wire rack. Ready to serve.
